Health Insurance
Osteopathy is reimbursed by many supplementary insurance companies in Switzerland. However, the exact conditions and amount of the refund may vary depending on the insurance company and contract. It is important that you contact your insurance company directly for information on the exact benefits and requirements.
It is important to note that osteopathy in Switzerland is considered a complementary medical treatment and is not covered by compulsory basic health insurance. The reimbursement is therefore only made via the supplementary insurance (VVG).
Tarif
Since January 1, 2018, recognized services in complementary medicine have been billed according to tariff 590. This means that services are billed in units of 5 minutes each.
At Osteopathie Denk we use a rate of 18 CHF per 5 minutes for the treatment and 19 CHF per 5 minutes for the anamnesis. Normally 45-50 minutes are needed for the initial treatment, but this can vary depending on the effort involved.
For example:
For a 45-50 minute initial treatment, you can expect to pay between 165 and 184 CHF. For a 45 minute follow-up treatment, you can expect to pay 165 CHF.
